Ethics
At B-Pack, it is essential that performance excellence be combined with strong ethical standards. The company culture is based on integrity, trust, respect and on compliance with rules and laws, in the belief that this is also the key to present and future success.
Compliance
Compliance with laws, rules and procedures is an integral part of the Group’s strategy.
B-Pack believes that Compliance is a necessary requirement for sustainability and a long-term factor for success.
The Compliance management system means that every employee has clear and concise directions to follow in day-to-day activities and provides quick and confidential support in cases of doubt.
In order to take a comprehensive approach, the B. Braun Group has adopted a Compliance management system whose most important element is the Code of Conduct.
Whistleblowing
There is a Whistleblowing Policy in force to ensure the full implementation of the provisions of the Codes of Ethics and the principles of conduct set out in the 231 Organisational Models adopted by B-Pack.
The purpose of this procedure is to establish clearly identifiable communication channels suitable to ensure that all reports - open, confidential and anonymous - relating to suspected unlawful conduct under Italian legislative decree no. 231/2001 and/or to breaches of the Model and/or of the Code of Ethics are received, analysed and processed correctly, as well as the activities necessary for their proper management by the Supervisory Board.
If the Whistleblower has a reasonable suspicion that one of the above violations has occurred or may occur, it can be reported as follows:
- open or anonymous report by email to odvbpack.it@bbraun.com, or by traditional post to the Supervisory Board c/o the Company’s registered office in Via Michelangelo Buonarroti, 12
28060 San Pietro Mosezzo - Fraz. Nibbia (NO) Italy; - open, confidential or anonymous report - depending on the method chosen by the Whistleblower - through the Whistleblowing platform;
By clicking NEXT, the Whistleblower declares that he/she has read and accepts the contents of the Whistleblowing Policy on how to use and manage the Whistleblowing tool made available by B-Pack (the Whistleblowing Policy may be downloaded in PDF format from this page under the “Whistleblowing Procedures” section).

Transparent supply chain
Respect for human rights and environmental protection is a key concern in the globalized supply chain
At B. Braun, we are committed to performing our due diligence with regard to human rights along our value chain. We respect applicable core labor standards from the International Labour Organization (ILO), ensure good working conditions beyond what is legally required, and strictly reject any forms of child labor, forced labor, and other forms of exploitation. We undertake to ensure compliance with these principles in our global business activities, and we expect the same from our suppliers.
ESG in procurement
We take a holistic approach to corporate responsibility. This also applies to our relationship with our business partners. When selecting and qualifying our suppliers, we ensure that they meet the required quality standards and standards for sustainability, are open to innovation, and can guarantee a reliable supply.
We prefer to work with suppliers who seek compliance with ESG standards as an important goal. This helps us contribute to sustainability aspects included in the overall group strategy of B. Braun. The ESG Standards for Suppliers reflect our expectations on the relevant sustainability topics and are an integral part of our supplier selection and qualification process. This encourages us to create a transparent supply chain and a supply base that shares our commitment to live responsibly and to take business decisions with future generations in mind.
We are continuously expanding our existing supplier management approaches and have anchored them in our strategy. We are trying to increasingly involve independent service providers, with the goal of having 80 percent of our annual expenditure volume assessed for sustainability criteria by the end of 2023. The medium-term goal is to have implemented risk management across the entire expenditure volume.
